First let me thank you for your time.
I started my relationship with technology several years after the internet became available
to the public. I was fortunate enough to be without an opportunity to receive a formal
education and yes I do mean fortunate. As the class rooms were being educated on technologies
that had been around long enough to form a circilum on I was working with technologies that
were in use. But my resume was very weak and finding a position that would allow me to work
with the more advanced technolgies were apparently unatainable. I started by selling computers
for a popular retail outlet. I knew it was just a start and the position served its purpose,
after months of working every day at 110% I was offered a training position.
Training would help to focus and sharpen my interpersonal skills. I could have an amazing
skill set but if my clients walked away learning very little I was going to go out of
business. I would have to communicate to an audience with various areas of interest, proficiency
and, most importantly, patience. My first few training sessions were the most intense
and trying experiences of my life, they were experiences that I have done nothing but
catapult my professional career. I developed several relationships and one of those took
me to the next phase of my journey. The late Jon ? brought several of him employees to
basic training sessions for common technologies to his work environment. He gave me an opportunity,
do some simple work for him for a very cheap price and if he was impressed he would help
to open a few doors for me. I jumped on the opportunity.
Lee Jones started my professional career. Let me say this, you will be hard pressed
to find better people than Lee and Stephanie Jones.
